The 25 year-old firm, with a proven record of excellence and satisfied clients, is currently run by partners Rankin, John Cook and new partner Martin Tite, who replaced Tony Griffiths when he retired. Though the firm specializes in public projects in Canada, it has completed a variety of projects all over the world.

"We've always been here in Ottawa," says Rankin in the article. "The practice in Ottawa gives you a fairly unique position through parties such as foreign affairs to be able to do work abroad," he says.

"We've definitely found that over the years, having a broad spectrum of client types and projects is the best principle," says Rankin. "It also produces, in many ways, the best architecture because you're borrowing from the expertise you learn in one project type to help another project type."
