Industry Leader Phyl Ferrin-Weeks Added to the Cambridge Who's Who Network
Phyl Ferrin-Weeks has been recognized by the Arkansas Press Association for her feature writing
SILOAM SPRINGS, AR, October 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Phyl Ferrin-Weeks, Author, Songwriter, Freelancer for Phyl Jewel Weeks, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in writing.
Freelancer, Ms. Ferrin-Weeks specializes in writing. She conducts research and writes songs, books and poetry. She also teaches Bible study at home. She is an award-winning feature writer and journalist, currently awaiting publication of the trilogy entitled, "Keeper of the Ark," which is to be published by American Book Publishers in 2010. It is the result of ten years of research and is a novel classified as Biblical historical fiction. Also a songwriter, she just released her new CD, "Why's the World So Afraid of a Baby." On the side, she cares for a WWII firefighter pilot.
In 1964, Ms. Ferrin-Weeks acquired her high school diploma from Greenville Senior High School. She went on to complete coursework in Bible Studies at Tennessee Temple University and in Music and Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is a member of The Best is Yet to Come Songwriters Association based in Branson, Mo. Through her passion for writing, she has achieved the Poetry Award from Editor's Choice (2008), the Best Newcomer Award from Sager Creek Arts Center (1997-1998) and a Feature Writing Award from Arkansas Press Association (1998). In her spare time, she volunteers as a pianist at her local Assisted Living Center and Senior Activity Center. In the future, she intends to publish her books and music.
