SAN DIEGO, CA, June 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Energy Digital takes a look at Collgar Wind Farm. Collgar Wind Farm currently has a 15-year off take contract with Synergy Gas & Electric--Western Australia's largest utilities provider--feeding the generated electricity directly into the grid. Vestas will serve as operator of the wind farm for the first 10 years of commissioning.
The farm is expected to generate roughly $100 million in revenues in 2012. By 2013, revenues are expected to rise to $109 million, with each subsequent year bringing in more profit as initial investments are paid off.
The wind farm itself is expected to offset approximately 700,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year.
