In 2008 the company established DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) in Ghana, which is now the Regional Office for Central Africa.

DHL Global Forwarding is a business unit of DHL Logistics Ghana Limited, specialising in international airfreight, ocean freight and project logistics.

It also handles customs clearing and brokerage in airfreight and ocean freight, multimodal/intermodal transportation and door to door services.

There are five cargo main-haul flights made per week into Ghana and Nigeria from the US and Europe. Shipments are routed through Brussels, which is the company's European hub, to Lagos and Accra.

From here they are distributed to 21 other west African destinations via an integrated feeder network as well as its direct service into Accra and Lagos.
