Mrs. Swanger has 11 years of field experience, which includes her current service as the owner of Field and Grey Design; she has run this company for four years. An expert in negotiation and business management, she is responsible for product strategy and creative themes, as well as working directly with clients. Hoping to continue advancing her company, Mrs. Swanger keeps abreast of changes within the graphics industry. Although she ventured into this line of work through her passion for expressing herself through drawing, she believes that she has met with success because of the support she receives from her mentors and clients.

Previously, Mrs. Swanger designed the in-flight monthly entertainment magazine for American Airlines and she has been recognized by her peers with three custom publishing awards. Additionally, she has been honored with an ADDY Award and received first place in the senior design show at Texas Tech University. She graduated from this institution with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a minor in illustration and art history. Mrs. Swanger is affiliated with Custom Content Council, DSVC, Creative Design Professionals, Letterpress, Publishing Executive Managers, Roundtable, Custom Publishing, The Wedding Market, the Society of Typographic Arts and Creative Intensive Network.
